Growth
Its funny, a few days ago, I had mentioned about my blog to one of my good friends, over the past few years. We were then at some point talking about our own thoughts about life, about things in general. He said that sometimes when he reflected about his own thoughts in the times gone by, he felt that some of his own thoughts which he previously held sacrosanct, seemed silly now, in hindsight. And frankly I have found that to be so true. There are people (and at some point I was one of them, maybe sometimes I go back there again) who get so passionate,(there's nothing wrong with that) and so opinionated about things, that they don't realize when they loose mental clarity. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion, but there is something to be said about holding onto an opinion with dear life. I think that with experiences (good and bad), and careful reflection about those experiences, we have the oppurtunity to transcend our own opinions, our own biases, and grow beyond our years. Getting opinionated I have felt, is due to the domination of the ego on our thinking. The color of the world around us depends on which colored glasses we wear. I find that positivity, just like cynicism is an inherent bias, it can skew our view of the world. Having said that however, we all need to model the world in a way in which we feel we can survive and thrive, for some it is creating an illusion of joy, for others it is an illusion of sorrow.
Some people have talked to me and thought that either I didn't make any sense to them or that I was in perenial sorrow, I have disputed neither observations, because view points of people about others, tend to be relative to their view of the world. Since there are no absolute/known references to compare against, they are view points which you respect, but might not necessarily agree with.
